Lana and Curtis’ wedding at The Woodman Inn in Thunderbridge, Huddersfield was such a gorgeous day to be part of. With the sun shining and the beautiful Yorkshire countryside surrounding the venue, it really was the perfect setting for their wedding celebration. ☀️💛
I joined them as their wedding singer, providing live music for two of my favourite parts of a wedding day — the ceremony and drinks reception.
Live Wedding Ceremony Music
There is something so special about singing live during a wedding ceremony.
Music helps create the atmosphere from the moment guests begin to arrive and makes those important moments — especially the entrance, signing of the register and newlywed exit — feel even more personal.
Being able to perform for Lana and Curtis as they officially became married was such a lovely part of the day, and it was a privilege to provide the live soundtrack to such an important moment.
Drinks Reception Singer at The Woodman Inn
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued with live music during the drinks reception.
This is one of my favourite parts of the day to perform. Everyone can finally relax, grab a drink, catch up with family and friends and enjoy the excitement of the wedding while photographs are being taken.
Live acoustic music works beautifully during this part of a wedding because it creates an atmosphere without taking over the celebration. As the drinks started flowing and everyone settled into the afternoon, I continued performing a mix of songs for Lana, Curtis and their guests.
The sunshine made the whole drinks reception feel even more special and gave the day such a relaxed summer atmosphere.
A Yorkshire Wedding at The Woodman Inn
The Woodman Inn in Thunderbridge, near Huddersfield, is a beautiful countryside wedding venue and was such a lovely setting for Lana and Curtis’ celebration.
As a Yorkshire wedding singer, I get to perform at some amazing wedding venues across Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and the wider Yorkshire area, and I always love seeing how each couple makes their venue and their wedding music completely their own.
From emotional ceremony songs to relaxed drinks reception music, live singing can help connect the different parts of the day and create memories that couples and their guests associate with those songs long afterwards.
Lana and Curtis’ wedding was such a perfect example of that.
